Light differences with color pencil.

Our Illustration Methods assignment was to photograph an element during morning, then during late afternoon light.

Then we rendered it in colored pencils to develop an understanding of warm versus cool palettes produced by light. (Well, artistic license does permit a bit of color "popping" with instructor encouragement)

Bonus: A lacewing decided to take advantage of the warm glow of late afternoon just for me I'm sure.
